Elke + Kyle / Emu Bottom Homestead

This Emu Bottom Homestead Wedding was an absolute Autumn dream.

Elke & Kyle, where do I start?! These two were my people from day one. I could just tell over Zoom how much these two loved and adored each other & it flowed so easily into their entire day. They met being wingwomen to their friends on NYE 2014, but instead were the ones who landed up falling for each other.

With hearts for a bit of adventure, their proposal did not disappoint. Kyle proposed to Elke travelling around New Zealand for 10 days in a camper van. Kyle presented Elke with a rose gold ring he designed himself with the claws of the ring the shape of the South African national flower, The Protea and said, 'So...will you be my wife?." Being in such a remote part of New Zealand, they had no reception to tell anyone the news and instead got to be in the moment and celebrate with each other.

With so much uncertainty in the air when we could go into another lockdown, Elke just knew the only way to plan her wedding, in just over 2 months. However, despite it being a quickly planned day, I adore that she really took the time to pick vendors and aspects of her day that would truly make her happy. Surrounded by her dearest friends and family, her wedding was so well thought out and styled to perfection as an Emu Bottom Homestead Wedding.

Some of my favourite aspects of the day was the Karen Willis Holmes dress (just a train of silky goodness) and the floral styling of the day by the wonderful team at Floral Architecture. Finished off by the most gorgeous ceremony by celebrant Sonia Thomas, it was a day to remember at Emu Bottom Homestead for a wedding.
